4-9-1936.WRITING.
-------
God, is creator of writing, as well as all good and useful things. God, writes His law
on the hearts of His Spiritual children, and Satans law is in the fleshly nature of
all human beings, from Adam down to the last one born into the world. The only difference
in the fleshly natures of christians and sinners, or children of the Devil is: That the
spiritual nature of the children of God have been created into the nature of God, hence,
Gods law is stampt upon it. As the material for paper must be made into paper, so
must the spirit of man be changed, so God can write His law on it. Once, Christ used the
earth as His paper, and wrote, no one knows what it was. Old as I am, If I could not
write, Id learn to be that much more like the Lord Jesus Christ. I wonder if any
one, since Adam, had this incentive to learn to write; I did not. It took 82 years, for it
to pass before my mind. Some one could have told me, but they failed me, or else, no one
had thought of it.
Like many other things of life, no one can do it by being told, or commanded to write.
No one could write his name, for a million dollars, unless he knew how to write. Writing
is not by instinct, but by being taught, hard study and practice.
Any one who cannot write, excites my sympathy. It is so needless for them to be in that
condition. The advantage of knowing how to write is so apparent, if no day of school had
been mine, I would have known school or no school.
Our Bible was written by men who knew how to write. They learned how to write, like
other folks. If they had not learned to write, God would not have inspired them, what to
write; but would have used other men, to write the Bible.
Writing creates no thoughts, but it is a great stimulator for thoughts. It is the only
way man has to compare his pass thoughts with present ones. Put a thought in the mind of
an other, to returned to morrow, it may be garbled; but write it down your self, it will
be the same, through all coming time, if wrote on the right kind of material.
Writing, is the best method to touch our descendants, after we are dead a long time. As
far as I know, back to Adam, I cannot touch an ancestor, not even my father and mother. As
I listen down this long line of ancestors, not a move, not a whisper, not a word, do I
hear. Some of them were men and women of talent, else, I would have less than I have. I am
the product of all their generations. Possibly, some of them wrote something, that is in
the world to day, and I have no way to know it. I have one joy about them; God holds all
of them in everlasting rememberance, who came to Him through our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ.
