TWO APPEARANCES.

By G.W.S.Ware.

April.23,1939.

I use the word appearance, in the sense of semblance.

The appearance first came when I was sitting in the presence of others, all of whom were reading. Unannounced, some invisible something, began to draw two sins I had committed when a boy, some 70 years ago, to pass slowly before my mind. They were out some distance from me, but distinctly in view, and unwelcome, and repulsive. I knew the Devil was off to one side drawing the scene before me, to depress my spirit. In behalf of my spirit, which is my life, I plead the blood of Christ, not to the Devil, but before God, which caused me to realize that I was saved from my sins; but found myself in a dark valley, with nothing left, but faith in God. After hours of sleep, and as the dawning of an other day was coming, the walls of the room disappeard, and out across the street appeared a different formation, all lit up with a light, not seen on earth; and Jesus standing before me, dressed in a brown suit like a man. No hat was on his head, and his feet, I do not remember, as his personage so enraptured me. His stature seemed about six feet, and his body was perfect in form, and graceful in appearance. The light came from beyond him into my face, so I could not see his eyes and countenance distinctly. No need for his name to be called, for I knew that it was Jesus, and he knew I knew him. He did not touch me, else, I would not be trying to word picture it to you. He made two announcements to me and was gone. At the time, it did not come to me to pray or praise him, but what a joy it was to see him, which seem to be joy of all things. His two messages to me, were: "I CAME TO SAVE YOU." "I CAME TO LOVE YOU."

Those two appearances, are as real to me, as any thing not of this world can be.
