The Talent to write, comes from God.

G.W.S.Ware.
-----------

Like all gifts, this one must have intense study and practice. One bane to be avoided, is to try to write like some one else. One style of writing comes from God, also, like his individualty; but ignorance of the rules of composition, comes from self. I knew a man who would use correct language with his tongue in a speech; but it would not flow through his pen, on to paper. I had waded through grammer, several times, while he had not wet his ancles with it; yet he used more of it on the platform than I could; but I could excel him on paper.

God has showered the human family with the talent to write. Some have many talents, some few, some none. The world is teeming with writers, to day and more are on their way. Some regard this talent as from self, and use it for that purpose; some use all of them for the Devil; while others use them for the purpose intended–for God. God, gave Paul a talent to write, but had to strike him to the earth and blind him to make him use it correctly. God gave John Bunyan, a talent to write, but had to use means to imprison him twelve years, so he would use it for the purpose, intended. Jesus Christ, gave his beloved disciple, John the talent to write, but had to put John on a lonely island, and open heaven before him, in order for John to use That talent the way intended. This same Creator, of all things, have placed me, in health, in easy circumstances with pleasant surroundings, ample time; with an urge and some talent to write, and by His Grace, I will go to the limit of my talent, for Him. O Holy Spirit of God, lead me into all Truths, and give me the honor to use my talent to write any thing you want me to write.
