MY NEW SONG

By G.W.S. Ware

Oct.,13,1937.
- - - - - - -

My Georgia Sun, is sinking low,
A few more days from Winder go,
To meet the deeds in Florida done,
Where there will be a rising Sun.

To shine six months for me to do,
Good things for God, with purpose true,
And when my time down there is done,
Back here I’ll fnd my Georgia home.

To help the old, the sick and lame,
To do them good in Jesus NAME,
To sing for them their songs of yore,
So they can see their heavenly shore.

I’ll sing for them, "Farewell vain world,
My Saviour smiles and bids me come,
Bright angels beckons me away,
To sing God’s praise through endless days."

Chorus
- - - -

"Your evening Sun is sinking low,
A few more days and you must go,
To meet the deeds that you have done,
Where there will be no setting Sun."
