MAN.

By G.W.S.Ware.

------------

Man means an adult male human being.

As revealed God finished his material creation work, by creating man. Man not only breathed air, like other living creatures, but in addition, God breathed into Adam, his own spiritual life and nature. Nothing but man had this distinction, which made him capable to rule the earth; which God commissioned him to do.

Satan had rebeled and brought sin into existence, which turned him and his angels into devils, and were cast out of heaven. It may have been, when God created the air of the earth, Satan took to it in his opposition to God, to rule in this new creation of God. If so, when he saw man was made to rule the earth, he design to cause man to sin against God, and he would take man’s place to rule the world. So after Satan succeeded in causeing man to be cast out of his Paradise, like he had been cast out of Heaven; he began to walk up and down through the earth, seeking to devour any one, who would oppose and destroy all who dispute his right to rule over the material creation, in place of man. Satan has no foreknowledge, else he would not have left his first estate. Jude 6. Before this there was no Satan and Satan sin, for as man was made a sinner by sin, so were those fallen angels made demons by sin. If it had not been for man’s body, which could die, man would have been, or transformed into a demon impossible to be redeemed from sin, instead of into a sinner, who could by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died in his place. There is no use or excuse, for any human being to be carried by Satan, on sin into Hell. Satan cannot do this, unles the sinner is willing for Satan to make, and keep him foolhardy, through his life on earth. This fact should cause any sinner, to flee from sin and Satan, to take everlasting life from God, as a gift. If he failes, the uselessness, shame and pity of it, to suffer forever in Hell, what Christ suffered for him on earth.
