MAN,HAS LIMITS.

Man has limits, and so has every thing but God and eternity, and spiritual beings.
Every thing the eye can see, fingers feel, ear hear, or toungue can taste have limits, and
will pass away.
All men and women are limited, but no two have the same limits. To realize this should
prompt every one to limits God has given him, and do his best to fill them. To do less is
to miss the limit set before him. God places a man on earth, and give him a limited field
to cover, and power and talent to do it if he will use them.
To see another fail to cover the field of his limits, is no excuse to fail to cover his
own limited field of his life, for God will grant all necessary aid to do it. All this
being true, no one should become discouraged, but amid it all do his best to go to the
limits of his field of labor God has given him to cover.
Men, or demons have no power to limit, or enlarge the field of any mans life for
God; which is the prerogative of God, who never delegate it to another. There are many
lords of this kind in the world, and blest of God, and happy is the man who escapes them
all, and have God Himself to direct him to fill to the utmost his limittations in life to
the glory of God. When I was a young pastor, an old man said to me, in substance:
"Your limits are too narrow to be pastor of such a broad Church." In fact, that
was the way I felt about it at that time, but, often the limits set for us by other
people, and ourself, do not cover the limits God has set for us. After long years, I can
see, that the limits set by self and other people, are never right, either too large, or
too small. I never have, do not, and never will know on earth, the limits of my pilgrimage
in this world. This fact calls for a strenuous cross bearing life on earth, for the Lord
Jesus Christ, to go to the limits God has placed in our life for Him.
I use to farm in Florida, and preach the Lord Jesus Christ. The state of the churches I
served, demanded it; at least that was what I thought about it at the time. The churches
paid me a salary, to help push out my limits for study, but these salaries had to be
supplemented by hard manual labor on my farm, to support my family. God was kind to me as
I preached and farmed for Him. He made my farming to prosper, and it was said, my churches
prospered also. In those days I tried to go to the limit of my possibilities; and now at
82, I am too old to serve churches as pastor, and too old to farm, or have it done; hence,
I sold out that interest, and have enough to live on, and ample time to push to the limit
of my old age for God.
It seems that Adam drew in on himself, in place of going on to his limits, and lost
Paradise for his folly. Christ Jesus, as a human being went to his limits, set for him by
Almighty God, and became the Saviour of every sinner, who will go to his limit to believe
in Him as his personal Saviour. Any person who refuses, from any cause, to except Jesus
Christ to save from sin and Satan, fails to know, That Satan is limited to his class of
human beings, to drag them down to Hell. This place is the limit for such in eternity.
