FORGIVE.
-------
Forgive: means to pardon; remit mistakes, offenses and sins of others, against us. The
power to do this comes from God. No other being can create it. Satan, or any other demon,
cannot forgive them selves or any one else, mortal or spirit. No history has a record,
where they did this for any one. They cannot, for there is nothing in them that can
generate the power to forgive. This is why no man possessed by Satan, can forgive; for it
is not in his spirit. He may forgive from his mind for selfish reasons, but that is as far
as he can forgive. This is why it is so hard for a sinner to for give a christian. This is
why a christian should resolve, never to do a wrong to a sinner; who cannot forgive it,
but take delight in telling other sinners about it; flaunt it before other christians;
justify himself in his sins with it, and say: "I am as good as church members."
This class of sinners are revealed by their Creator, as children of the Devil. John 8:44.
The food their spirits feed on in this world , is in print, so they themselves can read
it. "They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity."
Hosea 4:8. In a world like the earth, with its kind of beings, they are the only ones, the
GRACE TO FORGIVE, in honored with, to use for the glory of God and for their own good.
Good Angels have nothing among themselves to forgive, and they cannot forgive human sin
against good angels, for that is against God and for Satan. Man cannot sin against good
angels, he can sin in their sight against God. Man cannot sin against the Devil, but for
him against God. Human beings can sin against each other, ask and be forgiven, else they
can keep it in mind and heart and serve Satan with it, till they are separated from God,
live with the Devil with it, forever.
When God forgives A SINNER, Good Angels rejoice, demons flee away, not contradict it.
After this, a mighty host, good Angels and Demons, enter a mighty contest, for the
man’s enfluence. If the man forgives like God forgave him, good Angels prevail, but
if the man is unlike God, and not forgive; the Angels of God are put on the defensive, and
so report back to Heaven.
The heaviest load a christian can try to tote, is to rob himself of the joy to forgive.
Poor fellow, he has the spiritual weight of the Devil and all his host to carry along with
him, where ever he goes. He may blame the weight of his burden, on his liver, or other
causes; but the Devil will never tell him, that he has all Hell on top of his unforgiving
spirit to bear up under; and if a good spirit should whisper the TRUTH to him, a thousand
demons would give it the lie and urge him not to yeild, or budge an inch to forgive those
who have done him wrong. Two deacons I was pastor of fell out, about a land survey. Both
were good men, gone wrong. One was much older. After night meeting in an other church, I
walked four miles in the dark. About midnight. I awoke the older deacon, and went to bed.
Next morning I said: "I want you two brethern, to forgive each other, and they did;
so simple and easy, but the long dark walk, alone, seem to be the finger, God used to
touch their hearts to forgive. Then, the other church was most prosperous, now, after 18
years, their church, is more blessed of God.
