Able, means: Possessed of power, means, or ability; qualified, competene. The Lord Jesus Christ, "Is able even to subject all things unto himself." Phil. 3:21.

Several men in past time tried to subject the world unto themselves, and the further they went the more signal were their failures. Finally, all of them fell back in utter defeat. Twenty years ago several nations had to combine in defense of the rights of the people of their countries to govern themselves. Now, the rights of people to govern themselves are in more danger than ever; for it is the nature of evil men and women, to try their utmost to rule their fellow men and women.

Satan, and his angels tried to rule heaven, but was cast out and fell to this world, where he is trying to rule, but will finnally be cast into Hell, to rule no more. When the time for this is fully come, then Jesus will have subjected all things unto himself.

Those of the human family who will submit themselves to Jesus Christ, will have their spirits created into the nature of God; while their fleshly nature is left unchanged, all their lives on earth, until the resurrection, then they too will be changed into the nature and likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, Christ is able to bring this to pass, and command his people on earth, to keep their bodies to do his will, through their redeemed spirits. NO SIN IS NECESSARY FOR ANY CHRISTIAN TO COMMIT. Such a thought, is a tempation from the Devil to sin, and should be abhored. Christ is able and anxious to help us to keep our bodies under the control of our spirits, but we must not expect to make our bodies sinles (Ro. 8:7), but this is no excuse to let them sin.
